As with all of our horse riding activities, our guided hacks are suited to variety of riding levels and age groups. Our hacks are grouped by rider ability to maximize the enjoyment for everyone involved. The hacking routes are based around our fantastic 900 acre estate at Crieff Hydro. These offer up spectacular views of the surrounding Strathearn valley – be sure to watch out for the local wildlife too – with red deer, squirrels and buzzards often popping out.
Along the way we will help point out some of the many exciting local landmarks too. We can guarantee that there’s no better way to explore the Scottish Countryside – with as much fun!
What to wear:
Safety standard riding hats and body protectors (compulsory for under 16s) are provided for all riders along with safety stirrups and reflective clothing. Our safety stirrups mean you can ride flat shoes with a small heel. Long trousers (jeans, leggings or tracksuit bottoms) are fine. Remember to take off all jewellery and it’s always handy to bring a waterproof jacket to keep you warm. We may offer some of the best hacking in the UK… but this is Scotland!
All you really need to bring is long trousers, long sleeves and a sense of adventure!
